eMedicus-IRB - About Us

eMedicus is a Commercial Institutional Review Board (IRB) that provides professional reviews of clinical and non-clinical research protocols. As a service to our customers, we have specialty committees for the review of dermatology, oncology, cardiology and immunology research protocols. Our customers are pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, community-based physician practices and healthcare institutions that not affiliated with a hospital-based institutional review board.

We use an internet-based system that enables us to provide a secure, timely, thorough and regulatory compliant review, which is the primary goal of our customers. A timely review allows organizations participating in research to initiate the research more rapidly, thereby obtaining the required data, which enables the Sponsor to bring new products to market in a more timely manner.

Our professional members are clinical and scientific experts in their respective fields with publications in major medical and scientific journals. Our lay members represent diverse cultural and community interests. The variety of expertise and experience within the group ensures a thorough well-balanced review of all research protocols.
