The eMedicus Institutional Review Board is dedicated to the highest quality scientific and ethical review of clinical research that facilitates the advancement of the practice of medicine leading to the development of more effective treatments.

One of the unique qualities of the eMedicus Institutional Review Board is that each protocol is reviewed by committee members with expertise in the type of research being reviewed. As a service to our customers, we have a general committee and specialty committees for the review of oncology, cardiology, dermatology and immunology research protocols.

The Committee Membership is comprised of clinical and scientific experts in their respective fields representing a variety of disciplines and subspecialties from across the country.

The Lay Membership is comprised of caregivers and individuals that are survivors of specific types of diseases. Other disciplines represented by the lay members include the clergy, ethicists, community leaders who specialize in healthcare, representatives of the criminal justice system, sociologists and educators.
